Well.. again about our trip.. the 1st one for Zahraa. (err balik KL every month not considered trip.. err.. tu balik kampung..) The peak of the trip is the visit to Pekan Rabu ..yeah!!! At first, my husband was reluctant to go, as he does not like shopping or window shopping very much. But when we reached the place, he was so excited!! He fall for Pekan Rabu (and had planned for us to go again in August) I had some stuff for myself... errr.. but nothing for Zahraa... :( kesian.. heheheh (come on, i've bought many of your stuff a day before my dear..)
sorry, have been busy to post any entry lately...
so, last week was a great one. I have been so stressed for the past week.. busy with work, coping with office issues and office politics.. and most of all... worrying about the decreasing milk storage in the freezer. Being all stressed out I could feel my pruduction has become less. Imagine pumping and just manage to get 1 OZ!!! That is so scary..and worrysome.
But then, the day came. The day we've been waiting for, going back to KL!!! Yeah!!! So we when back home. We attended a wedding (Zahraa stayed at home with tokwan, while mummy and abah had a date) and had a great day at Ziyad's birthday bash. This is my first time gathering up again with my friends.. I missed other gatherings as I'm always in Penang every time it was held.
My husband took me to Masjid Taman Tun for a kuliah Maghrib (zahraa stayed home as well, thank you mama). It was a great opportunity for me, as I never get to come with him in Penang because zahraa is still so small for us to bring her to the mosque. She might get crancky and disturb the whole jemaah. The kuliah was interesting. Nurkumalasari was also there!! Looking great and very thin is her black abaya.
And the best was a day out with mama..we took mama out that day to One Utama.. all 4 of us. It was great to bring her out once in a while and treat he some lunch. I didnt get the chance to do this with my mum, so it felt great to spend some time with my mum in law.
When we got back to Penang, I felt happy...and milk score board strikes high again
I was online window shopping with my Mye the other day... (even at different parts of the country,we are still able to shop together!! ahaks, thanks to technology) and we found some cute stiff for kids.. there are some I think really cute......
I was browsing the net when I found this cool rompers and shirt for babies...they are cute!!!
But...above all.. I know Mye will love this one...

Toys again. Before this, I always told my sister that she is buying too much toys for her kids...they had plenty already. Now I know why.. toys nowadays are so interesting..there are wide range of toys and the most famous I guess at the moment are those educational or developmental toys. Kids today are so lucky.. the only toy I had when I was a kid was just a set of lego.. thats it and i've been playing with it untill I am old enough to put away toys.. (actually I stop playing because they are lost-stolen during my sister's wedding) Toys today dont only attract kids.. but moms too!!!
Hmm.. there are so many types, price range and brands in the market. Before this I found toys are so expensive. It seems only rich parents could buy their kids toys. However, what I notice lately is that actually there are variety to choose from. Sometimes there are toys of the same concept and almost likely, but different in price. Price are mostly determined by brand, or where the brand is from, such as Uk, US or Japan. So, no harm.. just choose what we like and what we could afford.. for me, so far.. (I havent been buying much.. still) I took time comparing differences of the toys and the different in price.. (Abang,, this is why i took so long every time we went shopping)
Toys for infant
Fisher price - I think they are the most expensive.. but their toys are cools, and hard to compete
Playskool - They are way cheaper than fisher price and they offer almost the same toys with them
Tomy - Not much here in Malaysia I guess, but the price is ok, cheaper than others
Lamaze - great toys, and price quite reasonable. They offer brilliant developmental toys
Simple dimple - Cheap, still great toys. They have a good copy cat of other brands toys
Sassy - Great toys as well, affordable price. Toys has similar concept with others
K's Kids - Great range of toys. Almost like Lamaze. Price is also ok..
Leapfrog - Expensive toys. But they offer developmental toys that stress on early learning
Tiny Love - Same range as K's Kids and sassy
Bruin - Quite new in the market. They are more affordable with more reasonable price. However, the colour and material for toys of this brand are quite odd. I still dont get why. Will try to find out..
There are many more brands out there however, the above are just few from them. By the way, I am writing just about toys for infant..as Zahraa is still a little baby of course.
Seems like things lately are all about Zahraa, huh...shopping also turns aways from my stuffs.. its all about her stuffs nowadays... so this is what being a mother is like... putting her child before her own.. even shopping!!!!!
p/s: have you all read shopaholic and baby?? I did..in the hospital ward.. this new series is still amazing..
As usual, my office will get gifts for newborns of PDCC. And normally I was the one given the task to get gifts for them.. I mean, to choose and to buy.. :D (its a great task, isnt it?? I get to shop!! Yeah!!!!) So the story i'm telling here is about yesterday, when I was asked to get 3 presents, one for Karina, one for Manna (counting days) and one for me!! As the 'getting the present' person, I got to choose what I want for my baby..that is great.. ahaks... Normally we get baby hamper for the newborns, but I had delivered months ago, and Karina delivered 2 weeks ago. This means, a hamper would be outdated already. Then a colleague of mine suggested to get some stuffs from toy r us or jusco...to find something else rather than hamper...maybe toys!!!!
So off we went, me, Kak Mimi and Wani..doing the gift hunting. I have never noticed all those interesting toys before this...and yesterday I've got to notice them.. We were all excited yesterday, seems like we like everything!!!! We got to shop big things without using our own money.. ahaks.. hikhikhik... Then at last we decide on all three presents...a bouncer for Manna, its turqoise blue velvet cover, a 6 in 1 - Tomy Disney Baby Walker to Rider set, and a 6 in 1 Tomy Disney Baby Gym to trolley for me.. I'll insert picture later ok.. These presents are huge, we had difficult time carrying them to the car. Thank goodness they could fit in kak Mimi's Kelisa...
Hmm.. it was a great shopping day ....(still thinking of some of other interesting toys I've tried)....to be continued
The other day, i was at this supermarket which is having its grand sale for chinese new year. It was 8.45 a.m and it wall already packed with people, most of them shopping for the CNY. There were so many people there weren't enough shopping trolley for all. Suddenly i cant believe what i saw. There's a couple with a baby...the father asked mummy to carry their baby, who's about 7-8 months and then use the baby's stroller to carry all the things they are buying.. there were a lot of tin cans, dozens of can drinks and so many other heavy things..I am so sure it is overloaded.... The stroller might get dirty as well.. they dont even try to cover it with anything else. i just cant believe this couple sacrifice their baby's stroller and just couldnt wait for another shpping trolley to be available...it was still early in the morning, there might be another trolley available if they waited for another 20 minutes. Is this kiasu???
Two days ago was my boss's birthday. We had a simple tea in the evening.. there's nothing much for all of us, as it was an ad hoc party..there were just 2 cakes, few kuihs and keropoks for all 55 of us. In that situation, I noticed some of my colleagues were so eager taking food without even thinking of others.. as the cakes was not much, a slice for each should be enough for all.. but how could it be enough, when some of us two big piece for themselves...two big piece..I told him, its not so appropriate for him to take so much as there are many others who still hasnt eat yet... he just ignored me..what could I say.. in the end, some of us did get the chance to have some cake.. those who are lucky.. got to grab tini winnie little piece.. like I did... is this kiasu as well??
Hmm.. well.. i dont know.. sometimes, i think people aren't sensitive enough to think of others but themselves..
